Saber Connection

Saber Connection is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and enriching environment that supports the developmental, social, emotional and academic needs of all students. The program is staffed by caring, professional team members who build positive relationships with students, demonstrate respect and serve as strong role models. Saber Connection prioritizes consistent and open communication with parents and guardians through newsletters, program updates, email and daily interactions to ensure families remain informed and connected to the program. Additional offerings include:

• Diverse curriculum supporting child development across multiple domains:
  • Creativity and the arts
  • Language and literacy
  • STEM (science, technology, engineering, math)
  • Physical development and health
  • Social-emotional growth
• Enrichment activities including arts, music, literature, dramatic play and special interest projects.
• Recreational choices such as indoor and outdoor play, gym activities, large and small group games, field trips and special events.
• Community-building opportunities to foster teamwork, friendships and a sense of belonging.
• Homework and academic support integrated into the afternoon program to complement school-day learning.

K-5 care hours during the 2026-27 school year will be available five days a week, on school days, Monday - Friday.  Before School Care is 6:30AM to the start of school.  After school care is from school end to 6:00PM. A child must be enrolled in a Stepping Stones Preschool Class to register for Extended Care. You can only enroll for Extended Care on the days your child attends Preschool. For full details on classes, click here.

Saber Connection serves students enrolled in Stepping Stones Preschool at Pearson Early Learning Center and students in grades K–5 at all Shakopee elementary schools.

Registration is available online at shakopee.arux.app.

This modern platform will make registration, payments and account management easier for families. If a family already has a user account with the current system, the following information will automatically move to the new system:

• Account information

• Login credentials (username and password)

• Existing enrollments

• Saved payment methods and autopay settings

• Childcare and preschool accounts

If you do not have access to a computer, you may go to or call the Saber Connection office for assistance. In order for registration to be complete, the following is required:

• Completed online contract, agreement to terms and Family Emergency Information.
• Non-refundable Saber Connection registration fee of $55 charged at time of contract approval.
• A valid and frequently checked e-mail address.

Your child must be potty trained before entering Saber Connection, meaning they have the ability to identify and verbalize the urge to use the restroom in a timely manner, the ability to manage all self-help/toileting skills independently and the ability to manage their preschool day without a pull-up.

Saber Connection Preschool Care Only:

• An approved Stepping Stones Preschool contract is required before a Saber Connection contract can be approved.
• The child should be able to function in a staff to child ratio of 1:10.

Please allow a minimum of three business days to process contract requests.

All guidelines are in effect once a contract is approved. Saber Connection reserves the right to delay the approval of the contract due to the need to increase staffing or gather additional information about a child. Saber Connection may also deny or limit service due to non-payment of current or previous charges for Saber Connection and/or any Community Education programs.

Arux is a modern platform designed to make registration, payment and account management easier for Shakopee Public Schools families who participate in ECFE and Stepping Stones Preschool classes at Pearson Early Learning Center, Shakopee Community Education classes and events, facility rentals and bookings and, starting in Fall 2026, Saber Connections School Age & Preschool Care. 

Starting March 28, existing families can visit the new portal:

New families will use the same link, but it will not include Fall 2026 school age and preschool care registration until April 27, 2026. Additional features of include:

• Streamlined registration process with better course search and filtering 
• Modern, mobile-friendly interface that works on any device 
• Improved account dashboard to manage multiple children and programs 
• Real-time updates on enrollments, schedules, and payments 
• Communication tools to keep you informed 

Users who currently have an account with Eleyo will have their information and account transferred automatically to Arux. 

• Login credentials - Your current username and password still work 
• Existing enrollments - All current and upcoming registrations transfer 
• Payment methods - Saved cards and autopay settings carry over 
• Child care/preschool accounts - Are accessible right from your dashboard
